iPad 5 rumors

What do we have here? The back panel on the left looks like the next iPad. To those with keen eyes, this new look is smaller than the previous iPads. However, we're not sure if this new smaller body will replace the 2nd generation iPad (which are still sold in Apple Store) or the 4th generation iPad. I do hope that this new body will replace both the 2nd and 4th gen iPads.

Here we have the first image superimposed on an image with the iPad 4. This shows that the new iPad design might shed an inch from the side and about half an inch from the top. We're not sure how this will affect the screen size. It seems more probable that the screen size will remain the same but the bezels will be reduced...much like what we've seen in the iPad mini.

A slightly smaller iPad without losing screen real estate would be a welcome feature for a 1st gen iPad owner like me. Hopefully they can make it lighter without compromising battery life and performance. But we'll have to wait until we all hear the official announcement to be sure of anything.

Looks like I might be upgrading soon.
